What this is

Yokewright is a crafting aid. It turns the measurements, ease and swatch you type into a written pattern by arithmetic, and prints it. It does not know your yarn, your tension on the day or how the fabric will relax, so the counts are only as good as the swatch and the measurements behind them. A swatch that grows after washing makes a bigger sweater. Check the finished measurements and the schematic before you start, and measure your work as you go.

The pattern is not professional advice, not a published design and not an official size standard. The yarn amount is an estimate.

Names used

Crochet terms and stitch names are used descriptively. Yokewright is not affiliated with any yarn company, pattern publisher, crochet guild or standards body.

What is free

The full pattern for any body and any gauge is free to use with no account and stays that way: every count, the written pattern, the schematic, the print, up to 3 saved patterns, and backup export and import. When billing is enabled, a paid tier keeps more saved patterns. Nothing free is moved behind a gate to make room for it.

Your data

Anything the site remembers is stored by your own browser on your own device. You can clear it at any time, we cannot recover it, and it does not follow you to another device. Save a backup file if your measurements matter to you.

Acceptable use

Use the site to make patterns for yourself and the people you crochet for. Do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people.

Warranty and liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Yokewright is not liable for any loss arising from its use or from reliance on a pattern it works out, including yarn and time. Check the finished measurements before you start.

Contact

Questions, and reports of a count that does not add up, go to [email protected]. Send the pattern code printed on the pattern. A count that breaks a stated rule is a defect and gets fixed.
